Friday, January 24 – In addition to Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Madrid (Fuenlabrada and Valdemoro), Málaga, Murcia, Santander, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid, Vigo-Pontevedra, Lleida, A Coruña, Tarragona, Zaragoza, and Palma de Mallorca, Alquiber now offers its customers two new locations in Oviedo and Badajoz, bringing the total number of its locations throughout Spain to 19. With these two new openings, Alquiber’s national expansion—whose mission is to manage customer mobility in a sustainable and efficient manner, with a special focus on vehicle customization and personalized service—is moving closer to its goal of contributing to the business growth of large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and self-employed professionals, regardless of where they operate.
The services offered at these branches—Alquiber’s first in Asturias and Extremadura—will focus, as at the rest of its locations throughout Spain, on flexible leasing of industrial, commercial, isothermal, and refrigerated vehicles for companies in a variety of industries and sectors , including the electric power, construction, wind energy, forestry, and agricultural sectors, among many others.
The new Oviedobranch , with facilities covering more than 2,500m² and located in Building 1 on Calle B, Lot 50, in the Asipo Industrial Park, in Llanera, will have—just like the rest of Alquiber’s centers—the company’s entire fleet at its disposal, including passenger cars, small vans (2-, 3-, and 5-passenger), medium and large vans (3-, 6-, and 9-passenger), pickup trucks, trucks, SUVs, off-road vehicles, isothermal vehicles (vans, trucks), hybrid passenger cars, LPG or CNG and electric vehicles, as well as any type of industrial or commercial vehicle requested 365 days a year.
For its part, the new Badajoz branch , located in Building 2 at Calle Nacional V No. 8 in Badajoz, will manage the availability of Alquiber’s fleet in Extremadura through its facilities, which cover more than 750m2, where, just as in Oviedo and the other branches, new mobility models will be promoted by offering customers a variety of electric and gas-powered vehicles , enabling them to meet their business needs in the cleanest possible way—all while enjoying Alquiber’s usual flexible leasing options: total cost control, thanks to a fixed monthly payment with no surprises; flexibility to return vehicles early without penalty; and comprehensive vehicle customization (roof racks, tow balls, trailers, cargo baskets, insulated boxes, etc.) handled by Alquiber’s own specialists, among other benefits.
Alquiber is a Spanish company founded in 2000 and a leader in the flexible leasing business, serving large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and self-employed individuals who need vehicles—whether industrial or commercial—to carry out their business plans. In July 2018, Alquiber began trading on the Alternative Stock Market (MAB) in the Expanding Companies segment, making growth the company’s main driver, both in terms of expanding its fleet and opening new branches. The company’s current market capitalization stands at €33.13 million.
In the first half of 2019, the company had a fleet of 8,232 vehicles, representing a 22% increase compared to the same period in 2018. Sales grew by 26%, reaching 24M€. Operating profit (EBITDA) rose 30% during the period, reaching nearly €13 million. The EBITDA margin for the first half of the year rose to 54%, up from 53% at the end of 2018. Operating investments in the first six months of 2019 totaled €25 million, primarily for the opening of new locations.
The opening of new branches—a major expansion that is bringing the company’s successful business model to large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and self-employed professionals throughout Spain—is one of the company’s main strategic priorities. So far in 2019, the company has launched five new branches.
