- Alquiber, a leader in the flexible vehicle leasing business, opened four new branches in the first quarter of 2019: Lleida, Zaragoza, and—as of this May—A Coruña and Tarragona.

Wednesday, May 27 – Alquiber is a family-owned Spanish company founded in 2000 and a leader in the flexible leasing business, serving large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and self-employed professionals who need vehicles—whether industrial or commercial—to carry out their business plans. In July of last year, Alquiber began trading on the Alternative Stock Market (MAB), making growth the company’s main driving force, both in terms of expanding its fleet and opening new branches.
According to the company’s data, in 2018 operating investments for the fiscal year grew by 24.2% to €38.5M to address the significant expansion of the fleet—a result of increased demand in the flexible leasing segment—and the costs associated with opening new branches. In addition, the net fleet size for fiscal year 2018 (purchases minus vehicle sales during the period) stood at 1,489, an increase of 18.9% compared to the previous fiscal year.
However, the opening of new branches—a major expansion that is bringing its successful business model to large companies, SMEs, and self-employed professionals throughout Spain—is one of the company’s most notable moves; in the first half of 2019, it successfully launched four new branches.
Thus, in addition to Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Madrid (Fuenlabrada and Valdemoro), Málaga, Murcia, Santander, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid, and Vigo-Pontevedra, Alquiber now offers its customers four new locations in Lleida, A Coruña, Tarragona, and Zaragoza, bringing the total number of its locations throughout Spain to 16. Consequently, Alquiber’s mission—which is to manage customer mobility in a sustainable and efficient manner, with a special focus on vehicle customization and personalized service to ensure the customer always remains at the heart of the business—is now much easier to achieve thanks to these new branches in the northern half of the Iberian Peninsula.
Initially, the branches will be staffed by three people, a number that will increase as business in the area grows. The services offered at these branches—as at the other locations throughout Spain—will focus on flexible leasing of industrial and commercial vehicles, as well as isothermal and refrigerated vehicles, for businesses.
The Lleida branch, which covers 3,811m² and is located at Km 475.2 on National Highway II A, opened in January of this year; the Zaragoza branch, which covers 850m² and is located at Calle Sauce, 96, 50171 La Puebla de Alfindén, opened in March 2019; the two most recent additions to Alquiber’s network are A Coruña, with 1,300m² and located at Carretera N-VI, km 582, Nave 6, Espíritu Santo, 15168 Sada, and Tarragona, with 660m² and located at Calle Mas de l’Abat, F-115 and F-116 – l’Albat Industrial Park in Vila-Seca, 43480 Vila-Seca; both of which began operations this May.
